Duo window film belongs to intelligent films, changing their diffusion parameters depending on the temperature and humidity of the environment.
The technical properties of the foil allow for dynamic drying of the window and wall connection throughout the year.
The higher the ambient relative humidity, the lower its vapor tightness, and vice versa. Moisture moves from the warmer side to the cooler side. According to this principle, e.g.. in winter, the temperature inside the room is higher, approx. 20° C and a relative humidity of approx. 50%. Outside, the temperature is below zero and the relative humidity is very high. In this case, the foil on the inside becomes more vapor-tight than on the outside. The joint is drained outside. In summer, the duo window foil allows the joint to be dried inside the room. Due to its advantages related both to the physical properties of the material as well as to the facilitation of the assembly method (because we use one foil both on the outside and inside), a whole group of products has been created, which solve our problems on the construction site, related to assembly.
Duo window films can be divided into three groups:
– duo EW window films are classic flat films with a double-sided self-adhesive layer for connection to the window frame and three wall mounting systems.
This assembly can be done: with butyl tape and a primer, with the help of glue
– Joint pastes or alternatively with a concealed mesh.
– Duo flexible window films – these are products used for large areas, sets of windows or facades where we need to transfer significant movements of the connection. The foil has a movement compensation loop. The mounting system for windows and walls is the same as for duo EW window films.

– Window films duo prefab – it is a group of products intended for direct assembly of a window in a production plant. These products are designed to limit the working time in unfavorable conditions for humans. The assembly of the foil takes place in the factory, where we have the right temperature and we are able to maintain the appropriate level of cleanliness of the window.
