Sliding doors made of wooden board

There are also cheap sets of elements or simple rails and wheels for fixing sliding and sliding doors, which can be mounted on self-made frames made of slats or solid and durable boards.

The door should be massive, but not too heavy, therefore, it is better to use a blockboard than a chipboard to make them. These boards can also be stained, azure, paint, cloth or laminate with foil. Even easier and cheaper are slatted frames, which can be filled with thin plywood or covered with cloth.

The lightweight sliding door systems are cheap and very easy to install (Roland-System), in which frame corners can be inserted into each other without the use of tools. We fill the frames with thin plywood or decorative boards.

The simple sliding door system consists of a ceiling track and castors. In the photo – thick blockboard door 16 mm. The running wheels are screwed behind the door leaves. The long holes in the fixing plate allow the door to be accurately positioned. The door is guided at the floor by a fitting made of plastic with a spring-loaded tongue.
Thanks to the possibility of adjustment at the running wheels, the doors can be positioned in relation to each other and in relation to the side walls.
